Wood Burning Stove

Description

We built the Wood Burning Stove as a simple yet highly efficient alternative to traditional gas-burning stoves. Inspired by Yvon Chouinard’s request for a grab-and-go quiver of gear for minimalist trips deep into the backcountry, we made the Wood Burning Stove with a lightweight and compact design that uses available tinder, deadfall or compressed wood pellets so you can untether from the limits of gas fuels. The stove’s unique design creates a Venturi effect that draws air in from outside the stove and speeds it through the constriction at the flame to create a tight heat source that boils a liter of water in an average of 16 minutes. It’s built from sturdy stainless steel for a lifetime of use and breaks down into three separate pieces; the pot has a built-in heat exchanger on the bottom for efficiency and a soft, silicone top.
